The bombing on Hiroshima was not a question of morality, but a question of who will end the war first. It was neccessary for America to drop the detriemental bomb on Japan in order to prove its power in World War II as well as prevent the Japanese from their aggression in Asia. Without the Hiroshima bomb, the Japanese would have had a well intact military ready to prevent the United States from getting in the way of their aggression. It was a fair fight from the United States because we gave many warnings to the Japanese of our plans to attack. By sending leaflets and messages to the Japanese informing them to surrender, America gave a fair warning. Although it killed thousands of Japanese civilians, the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima was neccessary because it saved more American lives, lead to a quick end to the war, and established America as a world war. But the second bomb on Nagasaki three days later was simply unethical.

On August 9th, 1945, America dropped the second Atomic Bomb (Fat Man) on Nagasaki, Japan. Nagasaki was not a militaristic city like Hiroshima, but a civilian city. This shows that America had no intention of killing more Japanese military, but purposefully killed innocent civilians. In warfare, innocent civilians often die. But because thousands of civilians had already died in Hiroshima three days before, it was immoral to destroy more of Japan and Japanese civilians. The bomb leveled half of the city and 70,000 civilians perished. The Nagasaki bomb was unfair as well because although Japan had not yet responded for their terms of surrender, the United States were impatient and decided to wipe them out again. The Japanese did not have enough time to respond with their answer. The bomb exploded at 1,650 ft above Nagasaki, estimated that it was 40% greater yield than the Hiroshima bomb. Even though the bomb on Nagasaki encouraged the Japanese to surrender, the total destruction on Hiroshima with the first Atomic bomb would have lead to Japanese surrender anyways. The Soviets could have still invaded Japan as well. Overall, it was unethical of the United States to drop the second Atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan.
